How much interest does this government demonstrate for the Greek diaspora and the Ecumenical Patriarchate? From minimal to none at all. There’s no other justification for its stance than to be represented by its politically less known members in the assembly of prominent Greeks abroad.
For the first time, the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate gathered together in Athens. Hundreds of eminent personalities from the USA, Europe, and other regions of the world traveled by private jets and other means. They came to be present in “Greece 2.0”. The miracle country that the government boasts was created by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis himself.
It is unknown why Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis and Deputy Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou provocatively ignored hundreds of prominent international personalities with Greek heritage.
Who supports Greece?
The entire Greek government was absent. At the Archons’ events, the completely unknown Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Kotsiras, and the (shortly before his… dismissal) and the Secretary General for Greeks Abroad, Giannis Chrysoulakis, were tasked with representing the government.
For God’s sake, people are fine. However, their offices hold much less significance compared to these prominent personalities. It was apparent: their intention wasn’t to honor them but rather to deliberately discredit them. The obedient Foreign Minister Gerapetritis followed the directive of his Deputy Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou.
“But these Archons do not support Greece, they support the Patriarchate,” as some claim. They do not only support the Patriarchate. They support Greek schools in the USA, Great Britain, Belgium, Africa. They support the work of the Church, thereby advocating for the interests of the Greek community. Archons from the USA, Europe, Africa, and Greece.
The accomplishments made by Thanasis Martinos, the president of the Archons in Greece, through the Church, surpass the combined efforts of five ministries under the Mitsotakis government. The Greek government conspicuously ignores those individuals who have a voice, speak out, and support Greece. Because it obviously does not need them.
Greece… is engaging in lobbying efforts with Endy Zemenides and Senator Menendez, who the US justice system is eagerly awaiting him, as he was allegedly caught red-handed.
Even Pompeo was interested in Greece. For the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Mitsotakis government, these details seem inconsequential. These billionaires, millionaires, and other prominent figures from abroad often have the ability to influence through the famous postal vote. Speak to the heart of this government.
They can also send emails to amplify their strong voices regarding the conversion of the Chora Church into a mosque. Along the way, there’s a risk of their personal data being leaked, but they’ll have fulfilled their sacred duty for their homeland.
