Alternate Minister of Citizen Protection Georgios Koumoutsakos held a meeting today with the Representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Greece, Metropolitan Amphilochios of Adrianople, and the Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Greece, Archbishop Savio Hon Tai-fai.
As part of his efforts to internationalize the refugee issue, Georgios Koumoutsakos referred to the challenges Greece faces regarding this major issue.
He briefed them on the government’s actions and initiatives so that both the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Holy See have a full overview of the current situation and the international initiatives taken by Greece in view of the debate on European Pact on Immigration and Asylum.
