The Georgian Orthodox Church celebrated the Feast of Pentecost and Holy Trinity on May 31 with a festive Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Patriarchal Cathedral in Tbilisi.
The service was presided over by Patriarch Shio III of Georgia. Concelebrating with the Primate of the Georgian Orthodox Church were Metropolitan Daniel of Chiatura and Sachkhere, Metropolitan Vakhtang of Tsurtavi, Bishop Grigol of Tsalka, Bishop Vakhtang of Nikortsminda, and other clergy.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the traditional kneeling prayers of Pentecost were offered.
At the conclusion of the service, Catholicos-Patriarch Shio III conveyed his feast-day greetings to the faithful and delivered a homily on the spiritual significance of Pentecost and the Feast of the Holy Trinity.
