The Funeral Service of the late Metropolitan of Ganos and Chora, Amphilochios, will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in Rhodes.
Earlier the same day, at 7:00 a.m., the Matins Service will be celebrated, followed by an Archieratical Divine Liturgy for the repose of his soul.
The body of the late hierarch will be transferred and laid in state for public veneration at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The cathedral will remain open throughout the night.
Following the Funeral Service, the body will be transferred in procession first to the Holy Monastery of Ypseni, then to Lardos, the birthplace of the late hierarch, and will finally arrive at the Holy Monastery of Archangel Michael of Tharri. A Trisagion service will be chanted at the Katholikon of the monastery, after which the burial will take place.
It is recalled that the late Metropolitan of Ganos and Chora, Amphilochios, reposed in the Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the General Hospital of Rhodes, at 11:52 p.m.
