French President Emmanuel Macron arrived at Maximos Mansion, where he was welcomed by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, marking the beginning of their official meeting. During the talks, the renewal of the bilateral defense cooperation agreement between Greece and France is expected to be signed.

Earlier in the day, the two leaders visited the frigate “Kimon” at the port of Piraeus, where they were given a guided tour.
In the early afternoon, the Prime Minister and the French President will proceed to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, where they will address the Greek-French Business Forum, organized by the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) in cooperation with the Hellenic-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Subsequently, they will visit the National Library of Greece to attend the exhibition “Seeking the East: Crossed Paths of Archaeologists.”








Greek Prime Minister and French President visited Frigate “Kimon”
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and French President Emmanuel Macron arrived earlier at Pier 12 at the port of Piraeus to visit the frigate “Kimon.”
The French President arrived in a motorcade and was received by the Prime Minister, accompanied by Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias and the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff. This was followed by an inspection of the honor guard by the two leaders and the playing of the national anthems.
During the rendition of the anthems, a flypast by Rafale aircraft took place, after which the Prime Minister and the French President boarded the frigate.
Also boarding the frigate “Kimon” were the Ministers of Defense of Greece and France, the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of both countries, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, and the Commander of the Fleet.
Following their reception by the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff and the Commander of the Fleet, Mitsotakis and Macron proceeded to the Operations Center, where they were given a tour by the commanding officer of the frigate “Kimon,” before moving through the Planning Room to the Bridge.
