The Archiepiscopal Vicar of Canberra, Archimandrite Prochoros Anastasiadis, visited the city of Wagga Wagga in New South Wales on Tuesday, April 6.
Fr. Prochoros went to the Holy Temple of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, where on Tuesday afternoon he performed the Great Compline and spoke to the faithful who attended the service. Later on, he attended a dinner hosted by the Greek Orthodox Community of the city, on the occasion of the first visit of Fr. Prochoros to the area.
During his stay in Wagga Wagga, Fr. Prochoros had a meeting with the members of the ecclesiastical committee of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, with whom he discussed all the issues that concern the parish.
Also, Fr. Prochoros was given a tour of the church and was informed about the renovation and restoration works that are being carried out after the recent floods that hit the area.
