Metropolitans Damaskinos of Didymoticho, Orestias and Soufli, Panteleimon of Xanthi and Peritheorion, Anthimos of Alexandroupolis, and Panteleimon of Maroneia and Komotini visited the Border Station Kastanies to offer their support to the armed forces.
“We came here today to express our wishes and support to our Army, Police, Fire Brigade, mayors and to the people, who struggle to safeguard the borders of our country in the last few days. The people were determined and in good spirits. It is good to see that peace has now been restored,” Metropolitan of Xanthi said after his visit.
