First Salutations celebrated with reverence across the Church of Albania

The First Salutations to the Most Holy Theotokos were celebrated in an atmosphere of reverence and devotion in the Orthodox Church of Albania, with the participation of many faithful, especially young people. In parishes and monasteries, the icon of the Virgin Mary was adorned, and hymns were chanted before it.

Archbishop Ioannis of Albania presided over the service at the Cathedral of the Resurrection in Tirana, where he spoke about the purity of the Virgin Mary, describing it as a pressing need of our time.

Metropolitan Nikolaos of Fier presided at the Cathedral of Saint George in Fier. Metropolitan Antonios of Elbasan presided at the Church of Saint Nicholas in Elbasan. Metropolitan Nathanael of Gjirokastër presided at the Cathedral of the Resurrection in Tirana.
