The Greek Orthodox Parish-Community of Northern Australia welcomed Bishop Siluan of Sinope to the celebration of its patron saint, St. Nicholas.
On Saturday, December 5, the Bishop visited the Greek Orthodox School, where he met the students and teachers of this community. He then attended and blessed the meal hosted in his honor by the parish-community council.
In the evening, the Bishop officiated the Festal Hierarchical Vespers and, on the morning of Sunday, December 6, officiated the Orthros and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in honor of the Patron Saint of the Parish-Community, Saint Nicholas.
In all the events during his visit, Bishop Siluan was accompanied by the priest in charge of the Parish-Community, Archimandrite Fr. Joel, who has been serving the needs of the parishioners of the Parish-Community for over twenty-three years now.
After the Divine Liturgy, the Bishop, accompanied by Fr. Joel and the council of the Parish-Community, met the faithful in the hall of the Parish-Community.
A meeting was then held with the parish-community council.
In all the celebrations and other festive events, the Bishop conveyed to the faithful the wishes and blessings of Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
