For the first time in centuries, and after nearly seventeen centuries since its construction, the first Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the major ancient church of the city of Aqaba, marking a moment of profound historical and spiritual significance.
The sacred service was presided over by Archbishop Christophoros, with the participation of Archimandrite Andreas, the spiritual head of Aqaba Governorate, and the concelebration of a group of clergy. The Divine Liturgy was attended by official representatives, dignitaries, and members of the local parish community.
