Major religious events will take place today on the 302nd anniversary (1717-2019) of the translation of the relic of Saint Dionysios, who is the patron saint of Zakynthos, from Strofades to Zakynthos.
The procession of Saint Dionysios’ relics will begin in the city of Zakynthos this evening at 19:30, flanked by the clergy, the political leaders from Zakynthos as well as representatives from the police, fire brigade and port authority.
The government will be represented by MP Dionysios Aktypis.
Metropolitans Daniel of Axum, Kallinikos of Arta, Kyrillos of Kifissia, Ioannis of Langadas, Ioannis of Zambia, Dionysios IV of Zakynthos, and Chrysostomos of Dodoni will participate in the liturgies dedicated in the memory of Saint Dionysios.
