Feasts of Pentecost, Holy Spirit were celebrated in Vienna

The feasts of Pentecost and of the Holy Spirit were celebrated this year in Vienna with brilliance. On Sunday, June 20, 2021, Metropolitan Arsenios of Austria officiated at the celebrating Holy Trinity Church and then officiated the Vespers of Kneeling, accompanied by the Athonite Hieromonks Antipas and Nikon, the Archieratical Vicar and Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne, Ioannis Nikolitsis, Hieromonk Arsenios, Presbyter Aristeidis Ganosis and Archdeacon Maximos in the presence of many faithful.

The Divine Word was proclaimed by Hieromonk Antipas, who referred to the birthday of the Church and the constant presence of the Holy Spirit, who is a structural element and leads its work, the sanctification and transformation of man and creation. We are called, he added, all of us, as her children, especially today when we are experiencing difficult times, to love and respect the Church, which preserves the truths of our Faith as they were formulated by the Ecumenical Councils.

After the Vespers of the Kneeling, the Metropolitan of Austria thanked the Athonite hieromonks for their participation and sent his wishes to the congregation

On June 21, 2021, the Feast of the Holy Spirit, the Metropolitan presided over the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Trinity, accompanied by the Athonite Hieromonk Nikon, Archimandrite Ilios Papadopoulos, the Archieratical Vicar and Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne, Ioannis Nikolitsis, Protopresbyter Nicholas Rappert, Presbyter Aristeidis Ganosis, and Archdeacon Maxim Rudko.

The Divine Word was proclaimed by Hieromonk Nikon, who stressed that the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, the Spirit of Truth, coessential and consubstantial with the Father and the Son, carries out in our souls Its restorative work.

After the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolitan of Austria wished the Intercessor to bless, enlighten and guide the life of all.
