In an atmosphere of deep devotion, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was celebrated at the Sacred Center of Orthodoxy.
The Divine Liturgy was presided over by Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi and celebrated by the Grand Archimandrite Jakobos.
Among those present were Metropolitans Theodoritos of Laodicea and Maximos of Sylivria, Bishop Adrianos of Halicarnassus, Ambassador Konstantinos Koutras, Consul General of Greece in Constantinople, Archons of the Ecumenical Throne, Dimitrios Zotos, Director of the Patriarchal Great School of the Nation, together with this year’s graduating high school students, as well as faithful.
Following the service, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received Mr. Zotos and the graduates of the School at the Patriarchal Office. In keeping with tradition, the Patriarch presented each graduate with a pectoral cross as a blessing and encouragement for their future path.
