In compliance with the restrictive COVID-19 measures in force in the Swiss Confederation and the Canton of St. Gallen, the feast of Saints Constantine and Helen was celebrated in the celebrating Parish in the Metropolis of Switzerland in St. Gallen.
On the Sunday of the Paralytic, May 23, 2021, Metropolitan Maximos of Switzerland accompanied by the Protosyncellus of the Metropolis, Archim. Fanourios Tholiotis, Archdeacon Gabriel Baratashvili and Deacon Matthew Ladas went to the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in St. Gallen.
The Metropolitan of Switzerland attended the Vespers service on Saturday and officiated at Orthros and performed the Divine Liturgy at the celebrating church on Sunday.
In his address, the Metropolitan conveyed the blessing and wishes of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, on the feast day of the Parish, while he congratulated the new Head of the Parish, Archimandrite Damaskinos Kassotis, and the members of the church council for the organization of the festival.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolitan talked with the members of the board of the parish council and decided the necessary expansion of the body with the entry of members.
