The feast of Saint Stephen the First Martyr and First Deacon was celebrated with splendor at the Metropolis of France.
On the afternoon of Sunday, December 26, Metropolitan Dimitrios of France presided over the Great Festive Vespers.
On the day of the feast, Monday, December 27, Metropolitan Dimitrios of France presided over the Orthros and Divine Liturgy, along with Archbishop Iov of Telmissos, Bishop Eirinaios of Rigion, and clergy of the Holy Metropolis. During the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Dimitrios ordained Georgios Tsioulos a deacon. After the end of the Divine Liturgy, a Memorial Service was performed for the repose of the soul of his predecessor late Metropolitan Meletios.
The Consul of Greece in Paris Sebastianos-Efstathios Kontovounisios and a large number of believers from Paris, Strasbourg, Greece, and Cyprus attended the services.
