On Sunday, 29 January 2023, The Feast Day of the Holy Three Hierarchs was celebrated in anticipation at the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas Neochorio, with the festive Matins and Divine Liturgy, which was presided over by Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia, Patriarchal Overseer of the Neochorio Region.
Joining Metropolitan Athenagoras in the Divine Liturgy were Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne Stavros Kofinas, Coordinator of the Network of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for pastoral ministry in the field of Health, who preached the Divine Word, on the subject of the memory of the Great Hierarchs and Ecumenical Teachers Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom, as well as Protopresbyter Diomedes Papouis, from the Holy Metropolis of Trimythous and Protopresbyter Konstantinos Vartholomeos, Parish Priest of Neochorio, while Patriarchal Deacon Epifanios Kamianovich also served.
Nikos Papageorgiou, Panagiotis Raktivan, the regular chanters of the Neochorio Community, and Giorgos Kyprianou, from Megalonisos, chanted fervently. Among the faithful were also 40 pilgrims and members of the “Romiosyni” Association from Cyprus.
