An extraordinary session of the Holy Synod of Cyprus will be convened next week by the Archbishop of Cyprus.
The main subject of discussion will be the new measures that have been announced by the Cypriot government for the ecclesiastical services.
As reported by Cyprus News Agency, Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus is expected to convene next week, most probably on Tuesday, December 15, an extraordinary session of the Holy Synod of Cyprus in order to discuss the new measures that have been announced by the government in regards to the ecclesiastical services.
After the completion of the extraordinary session of the Holy Synod, an announcement will be issued.
It is noted that based on the new measures that have been announced by the government and which come into force tomorrow 06:00 until 31 December at 05:00, church attendance and other forms of religious worship in religious places will be held without the presence of believers.
