The extension of the existing restrictive measures for the protection from the coronavirus was announced by the Greek Government.
It is noted that according to the current measures, the churches will remain closed until Monday, December 14 and the services will be performed without the presence of believers, while individual prayer is not allowed.
We remind you that for the places of worship the JMD stated that the services should be performed exclusively by priests with the necessary support staff without the presence of the faithful.
The participation of the priests and 9 people, including those who take care of the burial, is allowed in the funerals and related burial events.
The priests and cantors are exempted from the obligatory use of a mask exclusively during the Religious ceremony, while, in the “individual prayer”, since the faithful will not be able to enter inside the temples for any reason, it appears that it is prohibited as well.
