A new extension until April 28 is given to closed Churches with a joint ministerial decision.
With a new JMD of the Ministers of Education and Religious Affairs, and Health, it is decided to extend (without modification) the validity of the previous JMD regarding the temporary restrictive measures in the places of worship, until 28.4.2020.
In particular, the JMD prohibits, in the presence of the public, services, worship gatherings, rituals and all kinds of religious ceremonies in all areas of religious worship of all doctrines and religions, without exception, regardless of size and capacity, for the whole country, for precautionary public health reasons.
It is allowed to perform services behing closed door, exclusively by a religious official and support staff (eg cantor) whose total number does not exceed 4 individuals. The legally religious official is responsible for taking all necessary measures in accordance with the JMD. It is not allowed, even behind closed doors, to perform services in places of worship located in private estates, buildings, etc.
It is forbidden for the public to visit, individually or in groups, the monasteries. It is allowed to perform services and Divine Liturgies in the monasteries without the presence of the public.
In addition to television and radio, independent internet broadcasting of the Service is also permitted.
