The Turkish president has even invited Heads of State to attend the first official prayer in Hagia Sophia on Friday after its conversion into a mosque.
According to a report by real.gr, citing information from the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet, the leaders of Azerbaijan and Qatar are expected to attend the first prayer service, while many more have been reportedly invited, without making it clear how many and which Heads of State have been invited.
Of course, Turkish officials such as MHP chairman Devlet Bahçeli, ministers, members of the ruling AKP and MKYK members will be present among the nearly 1,500 people expected to be at the monument.
