The implementation of a project to bring to view the path of the Holy Family, which stretches from Rafah to New Farama, historically known as Pelousi, has begun in Egypt.
According to the Egyptian government’s plan, service facilities and roads are expected to unite religious, archaeological and historical tourism in the areas where the Holy Family has passed.
Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy stated that the entire project will be completed by 2020, with all religious monuments upgraded.
According to studies, 25 sites in Egypt relate to the passage of the Holy Family, while at least 700 Bible passages indicate the word “Egypt”.
The Egyptian state attaches great importance to this project, which aims to stimulate religious tourism, support the Egyptian economy, provide employment opportunities and develop the infrastructure of these areas, the Egyptian press writes.
