The upgrade of the cooperation between Greece and Egypt, as soon as the flights between the two countries resume, was one of the most important issues discussed yesterday by the Greek Minister of Tourism, Charis Theocharis, and his Egyptian counterpart, Khaled al Anani, during their telephone conversation.
In an official press release, the Egyptian minister contacted his Greek counterpart in order to discuss ways of cooperation between the two countries in the tourism sector and the necessary preparations and precautionary measures that should be taken, when flights resume.
The two ministers spoke about how the bilateral agreement will be implemented regarding the strict checks to be carried out for the protection of health of tourists and employees in the tourism sector, after the restart of tourism industry on a regular basis.
They also discussed the implementation of joint tourism programs for tourists from third countries, who will visit Greece and Egypt. These programs will be an integral tourism product between the two countries, which will be promoted jointly in all international tourism fora and markets and on social media.
Finally, during the telephone conversation, the two ministers referred to a possible cooperation in religious tourism.
