The Ecumenical Patriarchate has announced the schedule of liturgical celebrations for the great feast of Pentecost at the Patriarchal Church of St. George in the Phanar.
According to the official announcement, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will preside over the Great Vespers on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
On Pentecost Sunday, May 31, the Patriarch will preside over the customary Patriarchal and concelebrated Divine Liturgy, during which he will ordain the Bishop-elect of Tamissos, Panaretos, to the episcopacy.
Following the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, the Ecumenical Patriarch will celebrate the Vespers of the Holy Spirit and read the Kneeling Prayers, in accordance with the ecclesiastical order of the feast day.
