From August 13 to 20, 2025, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will visit his native island of Imbros.
The visit coincides with the solemn celebration of the Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos. The Ecumenical Patriarch will celebrate with his siblings and fellow countrymen, and the visit will also provide an opportunity for a brief period of rest.
After returning from Imbros, the Primate of the Orthodox Church will travel to Sweden and Italy from August 21 to 27 to fulfill previously scheduled pastoral and official engagements.

His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will be in his birthplace of Imbros from August 13 to 20, 2025. He will celebrate the holy days of the Dormition of the Theotokos with his siblings and compatriots. He will also take a short break.
Upon returning, from August 21 to 27, he will visit Sweden and Italy to fulfill pre-existing commitments.
