On Thomas Sunday, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received a delegation connected to the historic Athonite Ecclesiastical Academy at the Phanar.
The delegation included Hieromonks Georgios of Vatopedi, Ieronymos of Simonopetra, and Nikodimos Agiopavliti, members of the Academy’s supervisory board, along with Georgios Metallidis and Anastasios Sideris, Director and Professor of the School respectively. They were accompanied by a group of graduating students of the renowned educational institution.
During the meeting, the Patriarch addressed the group with paternal words of encouragement and offered his patriarchal blessing for the continuation of their pilgrimage to Cappadocia, as well as for success in their future endeavors.
Following the audience, the Patriarch invited all members of the delegation to the Patriarchal table, concluding the encounter in a spirit of fellowship and spiritual joy.
