Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received the Metropolitan of Kisamos and Selinos at the seat of Ecumenical Patriarchate on a scheduled visit.
The Ecumenical Patriarch expressed his interest with paternal love in the ailing Archbishop Eirinaios of Crete, wishing him a speedy recovery and restoration of health. He was also briefed on the work of the Orthodox Academy of Crete and of Annousakeio Foundation.
The latter, in fact, carries out “high social work,” the Patriarch noted, referring to his recent visits to these foundations, which carry out very important work.
He particularly mentioned the Holy and Great Synod, the proceedings of which were hosted at the Orthodox Academy of Crete,” a historic event that marked the ecumenical Orthodoxy,” as he noted.
He was also informed about the holy monasteries, mainly about the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of Panagia Hodegetria of Gonia, as well as about the ongoing compulsory works.
