Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who has been visiting Budapest since yesterday, held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Hungary, János Áder, today, Saturday, September 11, 2021.
On Friday, September 10, 2021, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew departed yesterday for Budapest to attend and speak at the closing events of the International Eucharistic Congress of the Roman Catholic Church in the presence of Pope Francis.
On this occasion, the Patriarch will communicate and cooperate with the Parliament, and the government of the country on issues of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Hungary and will lay the foundation stone of the Church of the Three Hierarchs on the premises of the large property donated by the Hungarian government to the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the needs of the Exarchate.
The Ecumenical Patriarch will travel to Bologna, Italy to attend and speak at the G20 Interfaith Forum.
Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria and Archimandrite Agathangelos, Archivist of the Ecumenical Patriarchate will accompany the Ecumenical Patriarch.
