He expressed the sympathy and support of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the events unfolding in Lebanon, wishing for a swift return to peace in the region and for the stability of the ancient Patriarchate.
The Patriarch of Antioch, with deep emotion, thanked the Ecumenical Patriarch and described the prevailing situation in Lebanon, which has already led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of residents from the country.
