Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s visit to Italy ended on Saturday, June 6, as he departed from Milan airport. Metropolitan Polycarp of Italy bid him farewell.
Invited by Bishop Edoardo Aldo Cerrato, the Ecumenical Patriarch attended and spoke at church events honoring the Holy Martyr Sabinus. During his trip, he visited the Church of Saint Ulderico in Ivrea and participated in prayers for the feast of St. Sabinus. He also visited the Greek Orthodox Parish of Turin, where he was received with honors.
