On Thursday, May 20, 2021, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided over the Grand Vespers for the feast of Saints Constantine and Helen in the homonymous church of the Community of Stavrodromion.
The Divine Word was proclaimed by the Grand Hierokyrix, Panaretos.
The Ecumenical Patriarch was welcomed by Metropolitan of Germanos Tranoupolis, who is in charge of the Stavrodromion Community.
Metropolitans Joseph of Proikonnisos, Joseph of Buenos Aires, Cleopas of Sweden, Bishops Benjamin of Tralleis, and Emmanuel of Christoupolis, the newly-elected Bishop Athenagoras of Nazianzus, as well as the faithful from Constantinople, attended the service.
Afterwards, the Ecumenical Patriarch expressed satisfaction to Metropolitan Germanos of Tranoupolis, who is in charge of Stavrodromion Community, “under his continuous and inspiring guidance, the multidimensional work of this blessed part of the Archdiocese is taking place.”
He also thanked Oikonomos Dimitrios Magioglou, who serves as a pastor in this parish, for his work and ministry, and praised the Board of the Community and its head George Papaliaris for their ministry for the sake of the parish flock.
Then, at the urging of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Metropolitan Joseph of Buenos Aires referred to the work carried out in his diocese, pointing out the indestructible spiritual ties of his flock with the Phanar.
