Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Archbishop Ioannis of Albania are scheduled to co-celebrate the Divine Liturgy in Cappadocia during a pilgrimage organized by the Ecumenical Patriarchate from May 16 to 18.
According to an official announcement by the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the pilgrimage will take place following the necessary authorization from the competent authorities.
The program will begin on Saturday, May 16, at 6:00 p.m. with the celebration of the Great Vespers at the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Sinasos (Mustafapaşa), presided over by the Ecumenical Patriarch.
On Sunday, May 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Theodore in Malakopi (Derinkuyu). The service will be led by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in concelebration with Archbishop Ioannis of Albania and hierarchs from both Churches.
