The Metropolis of Nea Ionia and Philadelphia gave a helping hand to all the fellow citizens with financial difficulties through the solidarity network of social, charity and welfare activities that has developed in its region.
Metropolitan Gabriel of Nea Ionia and Philadelphia went to the Church of St. Euphemia in Nea Chalkidona on Monday, April 22. He visited the Church of St. Georgios in Nea Ionia on Tuesday, April 23, where under the “TOGETHER, where necessary” program and the donation of the “Apostoli” NGO of the Archdiocese of Athens, Diamantis Massoutis SA, the “Sklavenitis” supermarkets, the Parents’ Association of the Athens College, and Konstantinos Tasoulas, distributed more than 400 “love parcels” which contain food and other essential items. That was a substantial help and relief our needy fellow citizens in view of the great feast of Easter.
The distribution of parcels was carried out by Metropolitan Gabriel, in the presence of the Director General of “Apostoli” Konstantinos Dimtsas, and Director of Diamantis Massoutis SA -Southern Greece region Georgios Konstantogiannis.
The Metropolis of Nea Ionia and Philadelphia through the network it has developed distributes over 1,500 rations daily to our fellow citizens and cares for over 700 families.
