Today, Friday, November 22, 2024, a delegation from the Committee of Orthodox Churches in the European Union (CROCEU), led by Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium, visited Halki Theological School.
The delegation was received by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, in the Great Synod Hall of the School.
In his welcoming address to the members of this pan-Orthodox delegation, the Abbot spoke about the history of Halki Theological School, the ongoing renovation of its building complex, and the efforts being made to reopen it.
The visitors then venerated the Holy Trinity Chapel, toured the old classrooms and the historic library, and finally attended a banquet held in their honor.
