Today, Saturday, November 7, 2020, a delegation of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine, led by Metropolitan Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitskiy and Vyshneve, accompanied by the newly elected Bishop of Komana and Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Kyiv, Michail.
The Ukrainian clergy were warmly welcomed by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, and the brotherhood of the seminary, and then were shown around the church, the library and the other premises of the seminary.
In his address, the Bishop referred to the affection of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and of the Ecumenical Patriarch towards Ukraine and Ukrainian people, and to the history of the Halki seminary. He also wished the newly elected Bishop of Komana, whose ordination will be performed tomorrow by the Ecumenical Patriarch, to be worthy and to have a fruitful ministry.
Afterwards, all the guests attended the luncheon.
