On August 2, 2024, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy, met with the chaplains of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
During the meeting, they discussed the challenges and intricacies of providing pastoral care to the military personnel of the Defense Forces across Ukraine, especially those stationed at the front lines.
The Metropolitan expressed his gratitude to the chaplains for their dedication, presenting them with crosses as tokens of appreciation. He encouraged them to continue upholding their faith and providing spiritual support to Ukrainian soldiers.
In response, the chaplains conveyed warm greetings from Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, to the Primate of the OCU.
