With the blessing of Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and abbot Sava, Dechani monks, Protosynchellus Andrej and Hieromonk Peter visited Orthodox brothers and sisters in Durres and Tirana who have been hit by the recent devastating earthquakes.
In the morning they first visited the Theological Academy and the orphanage of St. Vlasija and the Monastery of St. Myrrhbearers near Durres where they were cordially and gratefully received by Bishop Nikolai and Abbess Rahel.
In Tirana, Dechani monks were received by Archdeacon Spiro Topandza and showed them around the city’s churches and the Orthodox center with a playroom for children in which the Orthodox volunteers take care of the children.
