The Consul General of Albania in Greece, Dr. Irida Latsi, paid a courtesy visit to the Holy Metropolis of Ioannina, where she was warmly received by Metropolitan Maximos.
The meeting took place at the episcopal headquarters of the Metropolis, where the two officials discussed matters of mutual interest, including plans for a joint cultural and spiritual event to be held in the fall.
As a token of appreciation, Metropolitan Maximos presented Dr. Latsi with an album featuring the Christian monuments of the Metropolis, as well as a book detailing religious tours of churches and monasteries across the region of Epirus.
The visit reflected the spirit of open dialogue and cooperation between the local Church and the Albanian diplomatic mission, with an emphasis on fostering cultural understanding and strengthening ties between the communities.
