A delegation from the Coptic Church, led by Bishop Apollo of South Sinai, paid a visit to Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece this morning. The six-member delegation visited Greece with the blessing of Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria.
During the meeting, the strong and enduring relationship between the Greek Orthodox Church and the Coptic Church was reaffirmed. Archbishop Ieronymos expressed his gratitude for the Coptic Church’s support on various matters, particularly regarding the Holy Monastery of Sinai.
The discussions further highlighted the shared history and collaboration between the two Churches, emphasizing the importance of unity in the face of common challenges.
Protopresbyter Emmanuel Papamikroulis, Secretary of the Synodal Committee on Inter-Orthodox and Inter-Christian Relations, was also present at the meeting, underscoring the significance of fostering inter-Christian dialogue and cooperation.
