The Consul of Greece in Perth, Georgia Karasiotou, paid her first official visit to the new offices of the Holy Archdiocese in Western Australia on Monday, as well as to the offices of the Stn Basil’s Home for the elders, which are housed in the same building.
The Consul was warmly welcomed by Bishop Elpidios of Kyanes, who informed her about various issues related to the Archdiocese in Perth and stated that they were waiting for Archbishop Makarios of Australia is expected to officially inaugurate of the complex.
The CEO of St. Basil’s Homes, Anthea McGuigan, presented the basic aspects of the care program for the elderly, as well as the possibilities of cooperation between St. Basil’s Homes and the Consulate of Greece.
Bishop Elpidios also introduced Theodoros Giakelos to the Consul, who described his role as an advisor to the Bishop.
Finally, Georgia Karasiotou was shown around the premises of the state-of-the-art complex and specifically to the seminar rooms and the large ceremony hall.
