Metropolitan Panteleimon of Maroneia and Komotini was visited this morning by Consul General of Russia in Thessaloniki Aleksander Scherbakov.
Metropolitan Panteleimon thanked the Consul for his visit, informed him about the work of the local Church and pointed out the good relations between the two Christian peoples.
The Consul, for his part, expressed to the Metropolitan his gratitude for welcoming him and the good words, manifested his interest in the region and called on the Metropolitan to pray for the continuation of the harmonious relations of the two countries.
