Archbishop Makarios of Australia visited the Consul General of Greece in Sydney, Christos Karras, on Thursday, April 8, at the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese.
During the meeting, which was held in a cordial atmosphere, issues of common interest were discussed, concerning the Greek Orthodox Church and the Greek Diaspora.
The anniversary events that are underway to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the beginning of the Greek Revolution of 1821 were also discussed.
Archbishop Makarios and the Consul General Karras reaffirmed their intention to continue the good coexistence and cooperation, to serve the needs and the progress of the Greek Diaspora.
