The news of Your election to the renowned Throne of the Apostolic and Ancient Church of Cyprus reached the land of the Nile and our hearing, as the breeze of Aermon, which gladdened me personally as well as the Hierarchs and clergy of our Ancient Church of St Mark and we cried out Axios (Worthy)!

Your divine election signals auspicious feelings, as you succeeded the not long deceased brilliant and much-loved Predecessor and Spiritual Father, Archbishop Chrysostomos II,

In addition to this, praying wholeheartedly that your Primacy may be long, unsullied and productive, in good health both to the glory of God and the salvation of the pious and beloved Cypriot people, we embrace you with a holy kiss and remain,
Your Beatitude’s beloved
brother in Christ
