Upon learning of the sudden passing of Antonis Samaras’s daughter, the late Lena, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew sent a heartfelt letter of condolence to the former Prime Minister of Greece.
Lena Samaras died unexpectedly on Thursday night at the age of 34, following cardiac arrest at Evangelismos Hospital. She was a 2008 graduate of Athens College and went on to study civil engineering in London.
In a social media post, Samaras announced that the funeral will take place tomorrow, Monday, August 11, at 13:00, at the First Cemetery of Athens.
