According to a joint statement of Hellenic Orthodox Community of Saint Demetrios in Astoria and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, in an effort to strengthen the historic parish and school of the Hellenic Orthodox Community of Saint Demetrios in Astoria, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and the Community have entered into a collaborative agreement.
Tha statement states, “Through this partnership, the Archdiocese will provide continued support and oversight, ensuring the school and community are well-positioned for future growth, long-term stability, and success. Both institutions look forward with optimism to this new chapter in preserving faith, education, and tradition in Astoria.”
