Clerics from Larnaca signed a declaration of support for the candidacy of the Bishop Nektarios of Arsinoe regarding the succession of the Metropolitan of Kition.
In the declaration text, the clerics from Larnca expressed their belief that Bishop Nektarios of Arsinoe was the appropriate person for this position because he listened to the challenges of the times while embracing all the afflicted people.
The clerics referred to his classical studies and his master’s degree. Morever, they underlined that the Bishop was affable, approachable to the young and philanthropist. They asked the members of the Church of Kition to vote for Bishop of Arsinoe, designating him, in this way, a worthy successor of Metropolitan Chrysostomos.
The declaration was signed by the Abbots of three monasteries in Larnaca, including Stavrovouni Monastery.
