The Church of Albania announced the passing of the esteemed Mrs. Argjiro Kondojorgji, who fell asleep in the Lord on August 5, 2025, at 9:20 a.m., on the eve of the great feast of the Transfiguration of the Savior.
The announcement reads: “Sister Argjiro was a devoted and faithful collaborator of the late Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and All Albania, having stood by his side in his missionary work both in Africa and later in Albania. She departed this life at the remarkable age of 103, surrounded by her beloved family.
The Funeral Service will be celebrated by Archbishop Ioannis of Tirana, Durrës, and All Albania on Thursday, August 7, at 12:00 noon, in the Church of the New Monastery of Saint Vlash. In accordance with her expressed wishes, she will be laid to rest in the Skete of the Holy Myrrhbearers.”
