Christmas was solemnly celebrated today at the Church of Saint Nicholaos Voulonis in the suburbs of Paris, according to the Julian Calendar.
Bishop Maximos of Melitini presided over the Divine Liturgy which was co-celebrated by Archimandrite Fr Alexey Milutin.
The faithful of the parish, who follow the Slavic tradition and the old calendar, gathered early in the morning to celebrate the great feast.
The Bishop of Melitini expressed wishes on behalf of Metropolitan Emmanuel of France, while at the end of the Divine Liturgy the head of the parish offered a gift to the Bishop, who welcomed him with enthusiasm in accordance with the precautionary measures imposed due to the pandemic.
