On Friday, July 26, the Church celebrated the memory of the Holy Glorious Martyr Saint Paraskevi. A service of supplication to the Saint was performed late in the afternoon at her Holy Sanctuary, located within the Community of Neochori in the Bosphorus. An Artoklasia was blessed for the health of the parishioners, celebrants, and the pious pilgrims who filled the spacious courtyard of the sanctuary.
Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia, Patriarchal Supervisor of the Bosphorus Region, presided over the service. The Divine Word was preached by Archimandrite Nathaniel Filios of the Ecumenical Throne from the Holy Metropolis of Florina, who interpreted the apolytikion of the Saint. After the service, bread, various sweets, and soft drinks were distributed in the courtyard, providing an opportunity for the attendees to congratulate and extend their best wishes to Mrs. Paraskevi-Rea Kalfaoglou, President of the Community of Saint Nikolaos.
On Saturday, July 27, the Church celebrated the memory of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon. The Great Vespers Service was performed at the Church of Panagia Koumariotissa, officiated by the same Hierarch, Metropolitan Athenagoras, alongside Metropolitan Kirill of Krini, Patriarchal Exarch of Meliti. The service was attended by the Great Preacher Panaretos, Archimandrite Nathaniel Filios of the Ecumenical Throne, Archimandrite Timotheos Railakis-Vranas, and Protopresbyter Konstantinos Bartholomew, Hierarchical Head of the Community of Neochori.
Archimandrite Nathaniel preached the divine word, emphasizing the gift of Saint Panteleimon’s mercy and charity. Before the Dismissal, Metropolitan Athenagoras welcomed Metropolitan Kirill and wished Archon Panteleimon Vigas, the Grand Archivist of the Holy and Great Church, the constant grace of God, health, and an ever-increasing love for God and humanity.
The Vespers service was followed by the distribution of bread and a reception in the courtyard of the Church of Panagia Koumariotissa, where the faithful had the opportunity to congratulate Archon Panteleimon Vigas and extend their best wishes.
