The Charity Organization of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens “Apostoli”, in collaboration with the International Organization of Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), for the fifth consecutive year, undertakes an assistance scheme for businesses and cooperatives active in the primary and secondary sectors by donating equipment and/or by providing services and mentoring.
The General Manager of “Apostoli”, Konstantinos Dimtsas, pointed out the importance of implementing development programs to support the Greek economy and society, in addition to humanitarian aid actions.
“From 2014 until now, ‘Apostoli’ supported 84 enterprises and cooperatives by donating production equipment worth a total value of 1,302,517 €, by modernizing their production process and by creating or maintaining jobs.
At the same time, the members of 19 agricultural cooperatives were trained in food safety management, while the owners of 15 small businesses in the agri-food sector and the cultural and creative industries were also supported through business mentoring from experienced members – mentors of KEMEL (Volunteer Managers Center of Greece), Mr. Dimtsas stressed.
