A blessing ceremony was held today at the new offices of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) in Milan. The service was officiated by Archimandrite Fr. Ioannis Batsis, Head of the Greek Orthodox Church in Milan, following a kind invitation from the Head of the GNTO Office, Mrs. Eleni Gavriliadou.
After the blessing, a cordial discussion took place regarding the Greek diaspora in Italy, the challenges and opportunities it faces, and the role of the Church in preserving Greek identity. Special emphasis was placed on the connection between Greek tourism and Orthodoxy, highlighting how faith, tradition, and sacred pilgrimage routes form an integral part of Greece’s cultural heritage and global appeal.
The meeting concluded in a warm atmosphere, with a shared commitment to furthering cooperation in promoting Hellenism and Greek cultural outreach. Best wishes were exchanged for success and progress in the work of the GNTO office.
